Who am I? My name is Sarah and I am a fully trained and qualified Dramatherapist (Arts Psychotherapist) and Clinical Supervisor. I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and The British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth).​I am passionate about supporting others and providing a variety of means to do so. I work from a client centered approach, tailoring sessions accordingly to each individual/group.  I believe strongly in building a good therapeutic relationship with both clients and supervisee's. I always aim to create an approachable, empathic and safe environment for those I work alongside.

What kind of difficulties do I have experience working with?
I work with a range of difficulties someone may bring to therapy, including:

 

  • Trauma

  • Abuse

  • Neurodiversity

  • Eating difficulties  

  • Anxiety

  • Depression/ low mood

  • Body image

  • Relationship and attachment difficulties

  • Neglect

  • Loss

  • Confidence and self esteem

  • Personal growth and development

Do I work with trainee therapists? Yes, I have many years experience working with trainee therapists in both an individual and group therapy context. This work can take place in person or online.

As a Clinical Supervisor I work with a variety of professionals providing them with a space to engage in reflective practice.  

​​​

Who do I work with? I have had experience supervising and mentoring trainee arts therapists and counsellors, qualified arts therapists and counsellors, well being staff, organisations, volunteers and those working in education such as those in senior leadership and safeguarding leads.

 

​What is my approach? I offer a creative, person centred theoretical orientation to supervision. Through this approach I am able to provide supervision sessions that offer verbal, nonverbal and creative methods to explore and express content.
